Key Changes in 2025

In 2025, I relocated countries, rebuilt my health, started a company from scratch, and re-anchored my values. What follows is a practical account of the changes that mattered most; where I lived, what I built, how I recovered, and what I learned.

Residency:

  • Visited Armenia to see if I want to live here or not —> it is similar to Iran, so I decided to leave Denmark and relocate to Armenia.
  • I moved to Armenia; and I wish I had moved earlier.
  • Rented an acceptable apartment in Yerevan, which is much better and cheaper than where I lived in Copenhagen.
  • Applied and got my Armenian residency.

Business:

  • Initiated the Liquidation process of my inactive remote business in Estonia.
  • Established Yanovian LLC.
  • Opened a business account.
  • Created Yanovian's website.
  • Did a market research, talked to a few businesses and understood what they desperately need and who needs that.
  • Created the MVP of my product.
  • Prepared my home office with all the tools I need.
  • Applied and got 1000$ AWS credits to reduce cloud costs.

Health:

  • Bought equipment for a small home gym and began my workouts.
  • Thanks to living in a non-flat county, I could lose half the size of my stubborn belly in less than 6 months!
  • Continued to cook for myself and eat health food.

Human rights activities:

  • Wrote the lyrics of songs to educate people about what is really happening.
  • Created a music album with the help of AI.
  • Created a YouTube Channel for those songs.

Books & knowledge:

  • Read a few interesting books about physics and the origin of the universe, public speaking, and emotional intelligence.
  • Listened to Dr. Elahi Ghomshei, onf of the most amazing people alive.
  • Listened to some interesting documentaries on YouTube about history, business, health, and public speaking.

2024 and early 2025

My 2024 was concluded with ending a project as an external consultant at a large bank in the Nordics, and began with another one for my previous employer. I was also given the chance to speak at a dev meetup about the topic of Infrastructure As a Software.

I also continued my daily walks, which was around 10 Kilometres per day; and later added the habit of going to gym and swimming 2-3 times a week, but none of those extra kilocalories burns had any effects on the big tommy that I grew after moving to Denmark.

I guess the bad Danish weather and being surrounded by a society full of mentally unstable people, messed up with me so much that nothing seemed capable of bringing me back to who I was before. I had become an unhappy man, full of stress and with a big tommy; my liver was also becoming worse and worse each day...

On top of that, I was living among a society of those who were mostly happy about seeing Palestinians being butchered by Israel, just because the Arab/Muslim hatred had made them a bunch of monsters who were blind to the basics of humanity. I feld isolated seeing people rejecting me for caring about equality and human rights. I felt betrayed when even someone, who I stupidly thought could be called a close friend fiends, were justifying those horrible crimes with crazy things like:

resources in this world are limited, so Palestinians deserve to die!

And he had no answer to:

okay, if the resources are limited, why do you expect us to die instead of you; why don't you give away the money that you could earn mainly because you have those unequal privileges due to your EU-citizenship.

Seeing the monster inside those who I used to be close, hurt so much that, I had to remove some old friends from my circles; those who had converted to such things just because they wanted the Danish society to accept them. An immigrant who was constantly insulted by Danes, telling him "oh so you should be a constructor worker here!" as he was Polish and most Danes think Polish = cheap constructor worker, or another immigrant who excluded Iranians, Russians, and Chinese in her event, just to please her European audience; begging for "I'm one of you, please accept me." And many others...

Among them also, Iranians who finally surrendered and decided to bend to this enslaving society that expected them to have Western names; so they changed their names to please their masters. People who surrendered and changed their Iranian names to get wash off their origins... Omid became Hope! Saeed became Brian! Ali became Allen, Adam, and Alex! Aram became Ara! Najmeh became Estella! And many more...

Rainy days of Denmark vs Armenia
Moved from the left side to the right side

Something had to change

I could either continue that misery or take the risk and seek a new change. I took the latter, and moved to Armenia. A county where unfortunately almost no locals speaks English, as it was dominated by the Russians when they took this region from Iran; but with an almost identical culture to us; with all the goods and bads.

Finally, living in one of those overpriced shitty apartments in Denmark is over; No more all-year Danish rainy days here, and instead a four-season county, similar to where I am from. With people who mean what they say, instead of those who show you a fake smile and say shit behind your back. Those who pretend to be friends but don't even write a simple recommendation for you after all those good things you did for them. Living among people who see themselves above everyone and everything, just because they were lucky to be born in an unjust system that steals from others and gives everything to them for free.

Lessons learned

  • Health is the most important thing in life.
  • Sunlight, good weather, beautiful nature, and being in a lively welcoming society are things that cannot be exchanged with money.
  • Stay strong and stick with your human values.
  • Not everyone can be called a friend.
  • Give people the chance to show you how much they can be trusted. If they lie, walk away.
  • Some people are not worth to be helped.
  • God, is the only one who cares about us. Nothing good would happen unless we unite ourselves with our creator and the universe; the universe which is a reflection of the God.
  • Having double-standards is one of the main values of the West.
  • Western media is nothing but a well funded propaganda machine —> so the best this is to avoid watching them.
  • Donald Trump proved that FIFA is notning but a political organization; what a shame!
  • Donald Trump proved that the word "terrorist" simply means whoever that the US/Israel/NATO don't like or want to invade as their next target; that's why now Trump calls Venezuela a terrorist state! Just because the US wants to steal their oil.
  • Venezuela's case proved that Nobel Peace Prize should be called the "Traitor's Prize".

Plans for 2026

New things I will add:

  • Find 1-2 customers and earn money from external cloud/programming projects.
  • Onboard the first 50 B2B customers to BeMyBarber.
  • Build a fully flat tommy & foundation of the muscles that I lost in the past few years.
  • Practice Thai Chi again & make it a habit.
  • Learn basics of the Armenian language.
  • Listen more to Dr. Elahi Ghomshei & get closer to the God and unite with the universe.
  • Read 5 new books.
  • Finish writing my first 2 books.
  • If people ask, spend time to prepare for another talk at a tech meetup.

Things I will bring with me from 2025:

  • Continue cooking healthy food for yourself.
  • Continue daily walks & daily workouts.
  • Continue your human-rights activities for as long as you are alive and not eliminated by those monsters.
